Our roots as the original "Stamp Shop" mean we have deep expertise in numismatics. We purchase coins from all periods - from ancient hammered silver to modern commemoratives. Gold sovereigns remain particularly popular, and we always pay fair prices based on both the gold content and any collector premium. If you've inherited a coin collection or found old coins tucked away in a drawer, bring them in for a free appraisal. We're especially interested in pre-decimal British coins, rare dates, minting errors, and proof sets still in their original packaging. Don't worry if your watch has stopped working - we buy watches in any condition, whether they need a simple service or are only good for parts. Gold and silver watch cases have inherent value regardless of the movement's condition. We're also interested in watch chains, fobs, and accessories. Vintage wristwatches from quality makers can fetch excellent prices, especially if they're in original condition with their original straps or bracelets. We started life as the "Stamp Shop" back in 1965, so philately runs deep in our heritage. While the stamp market has changed over the decades, quality material still commands excellent prices. We're particularly interested in specialised British stamps, early Queen Victoria issues, and unusual postal history. Commonwealth stamps, especially those from the classic period, are always welcome. Postcards have become increasingly collectible, and we're keen buyers of real photographic postcards, social history subjects, and topographical views - particularly those showing Yorkshire and the North East. If you've inherited a stamp collection or have boxes of old postcards, we can provide an honest appraisal and make you a fair offer.

After nearly 60 years in the antiques trade, very little surprises us - and we're interested in a remarkably wide range of items. Quality ceramics and porcelain, vintage toys, antique clocks, and scientific instruments all find their way through our doors. Writing instruments, particularly vintage fountain pens by makers like Parker, Montblanc, and Conway Stewart, are increasingly collectible. Old cameras, especially pre-war models and quality German optics, have a dedicated following. We also handle estate clearances and are happy to look through boxes of mixed items - you never know what treasures might be hiding at the bottom.
